my chameleon just started eating crickets, he ate probably around 10. When should I feed him again?

3-4 moths, a veiled chameleon, and he also snacks on apples

My chameleon isn't usually hungry and he is super friendly. But once I closed the cage after putting in crickets, he changed completely. He ran down the vines super fast and ate 3 in 1 minute. He looked like a different chameleon when he devoured al crickets in a short amount of time.I feed my chameleon every morning about an hour or so after his lights have been on.
Chameleons need to bask through out the day in order to properly digest their food items.

10 sounds about right. As long as you keep his temps correct and he is getting UVB light to digest them.

The more experienced keepers may chime in but, at this stage,I was still feeding my babies twice a day. They'd eat from 6-8 crickets + 3-4 super worms(or other feeder) EACH feeding.
Also, make sure you're dusting your feeders each time.

Is feedings vegetables and plant matter absolutely necessary? If so what should I feed a 7 month old veiled chameleon

I don't believe feeding plants is a necessity, I have never heard or read that it is. It is just something to give them extra variety. You can feed them leafy greens.Is feedings vegetables and plant matter absolutely necessary? If so what should I feed a 7 month old veiled chameleon
