I have one chameleon and I order them in bulk 1000 at a time.. I have a large clear rubbermaid container that i put them in.. I use egg cartons and paper towel/toilet paper tubes to give them hiding spaces and more surface area.. I use two large lids from something like a peanut butter dish, one for food, and one for water (the water is either gel or soaked toilet paper since a dish of water will cause them to drown). I then cut a large hole out of the lid for the container for air circulation, and to keep them from escaping, and keep the container at room temperature.. I can keep the crickets for at least a month in these conditions. I get them 1/2" and by the time they are used up they are about 1".. If you plan on just keeping lets say 100 at a time you can get a "cricket keeper" at the pet store that has tubes and dishes for food.. I have one and transfer about 100-150 crickets into it from the larger container.. makes it easier to get the 10 or so that he will eat.. You also need to "dust" the crickets before feeding them to the cham and always feed the crickets well since what you feed the crickets is what goes into the cham.. You will need calcium without D3 powder, multivitamin powder, and calcium with D3 powder.. If its a young chameleon you'll have to dust the crickets with calcium (without d3) every feeding, and use the multivitamin and the D3 about twice a month each.. I give him the D3 and multivitamins on Sundays (one sunday give the multivitamin, the next Sunday the D3, and repeat)
