Cricket Websites?

Hi again, I just got a male panther chameleon that is about 3 1/2 months and he needs some gut loaded crickets. I have just been getting the crickets from my local pet store The Pet Station but they don't gut load their crickets so I was thinking about getting some off line that are already gut loaded so if you guys have any website suggestions they would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!:D

you have to gutload your own crickets. The petstores so called "gutload" are potatoes which provide basically nothing to your chameleon. You need to gutload your crickets just prior to feeding them to your chameleon. Like the night before would be good if you feed in the morning. There is really no such thing as "gutloaded" crickets that you buy from a supplier. Use your own fresh fruits and vegetables along with a commercial gutload like Bug Burger by Repashy or Cricket Crack. You can order crickets in bulk from Ghanns Cricket farm or Lazy H bait.

lllreptile's vitabugs are the only ones I am aware of.

you can order them off their website.

They don't say what the nutritional analysis of the crickets is though.
With chams, you have to wonder a bit- are they going to have a good balance for chams?

The song and dance around vita-bugs is a little hokey as well. Don't know what "years of research" it took to come up with them, but nothing they say about them is untrue for crickets fed any high quality food over their lifetime and these things have been known and published many years ago.

When cricket farms compete, you win on getting the best price. I get my crickets off of amazon or ebay and gutload them myself.

I also order mine online from Ghann's cricket farm who by far have the healthiest crickets I have ever gotten. Also if you have Netflix you can check out Mike Rowe's show Dirty Jobs, season 6 features a segment on Ghann's. I like them even more after watching.
I am also skeptical about the vita-bugs. I think they probably just feed some commercial cricket diet and call them gutloaded. If you want the best possible food items for your cham you are going to have to take charge of your bug's food as well. That way you know exactly what you cham is eating.
