I am going to have three buddies next week. That means plenty of crickets!
How do y'all store your crickets and gut load them? Are there bins or boxes or something I can buy to keep them in?
I would make a custom bin out of a storage container (like from rubbermaid). Lots of ventilation (and weekly cleaning) is the key to preventing dieoff and bad odors. Here is a picture I pulled off of google to show good ventilation.
You will want to provide a good gutload as well. Be sure the crickets have access to good fruits and veggies, in addition to a quality commercial gutload (bug burger, dinofuel, cricket crack) and water crystals.
Hope this helps!
Edit: The three inches shown in this picture is the 3 inches of clear packing tape put around the top inside wall of the cricket keeper. This is to prevent them from climbing to the top (the tape is very slick).
