the temps in my area will be in the mid 60s is it ok to do 2nd shipping on crickets

They should be fine at those temps. I look for temps in the 50's-90s range when getting crickets, but here in Fl we don't have many days in the 50s thankfully!

You would not need to do 2nd day USPS Express, regular Priority will be 3 days if the supplier is out of your local shipping area, at those temps the crickets will be happy!
