Cricket Question!

Don't put more then what your cham would or should eat and there shouldnt be many left over to grab out. Mine are always on the screen so i just put a bowl next to them and knock them in it and the ones on the ground I either trap or pick up by hands.

i have a new cage on the way. i suppose itll be easier to cage the crickets when they are in a cage that has less stuff cluttering my way to get to the bottm

i put a carrot or orange cut in two in the cage and take it out and refrigerate first thing in the morning that way they can stay in there. generally the cricket isnt gonna go after a live animal if it has food that it could eat instead. i like doing this only because the crickets are hard to catch and my cham refuses to eat out of his cup. also if you do decide to do this make sure that the cricket food is big enough that the cham cant even fit the item in there mouth to get impacted.

That's what I was going to say. Toss something large enough not to be an issue for your chameleon, like a piece of apple or carrot or bell pepper in. Or even clip a bit of dark leafy lettuce to the side. Your chameleon might just snack on it as well.
