So im a masochist and want to try to grow yet another feeder, crickets. Their is about 10,343 guides on making crickets, but nothing on the amount of crap you need for a certain production output.
I got most of the basics down but i dont know how many bins i need for around 500 crickets a month. 3 adult totes 2 weeks apart in age? I know you have to keep each hatch group in the same tub.
Here is/was my plan:
Buy crickets for feeding
place chinese take out container with wet coconut pulp (anything cheaper?) in for 3 days till white eggs are everywhere
do the container thing every 2 weeks
incubate in lizard room (80f ish)
once pin heads start pop in shoe box tubs
once pin heads cant get through screen place in adult bin
once adults are big enough, eat
rinse repeat.
PS: i was all excited that mulberry farms had wingless crickets and hurried my order. In my haste i learned later, yes they still chirp...
