hey,

Ive had my cham for the past 2 months, hes 4 2/3 months old panther cham.. my question is what do i do when theres a cricket leg coming out of the "bung hole"?.. i tried pulling it but it didn't come out easily so i didn't want to force it and maybe hurt the little guy.. any advice really appreciated.. thnx

Has he pooped more than once since the thing has been hanging there? My thought is that it may dislodge with the next poop? Or, have you already watched for that?

I would think it would eventually come out on its own, although I've never had this happen. one simple remedy may be to soak his little rear in some warm water for a few minutes.

When I've fed larger crickets, with thorny legs, to smaller chams, I've cut the back legs off. They can get stuck in various places between the entry and exit of a cham. I've read that it can cause tearing of soft tissue and infection.
