Hey guys,
I was just wondering what all of you feed your crickets while they're in the "cricket bin" until you put them in the "gutoad bin".
Thanks!!

I gutload mine all the time. I use one of Sandrachameleons dry mix and give them a mix of different veg to provide moisture. Just now it is a mix of sweet potato, butternut squash and courgette. These are steamed, mashed up and frozen in ice cube trays and defrosted as required.:)

:D I feed mine gut load all the time too. I don't have a separate bin for gutloading. I feed the dry and wet gut loads every day and when ready the feed Zeke just grab a cardboard cylinder(toilet paper roll:D) and shake it into the jar I dust in. then straight to feeder cup.

Okay, I'm interested.lol. So what do you mean by defrosted as required? I would like to try this method. Is there anything else I need to know?

Cook your veg. When soft drain away the water. Mash everything together and fill ice cube trays. Freeze. Put frozen cubes into poly bag and put in freezer. I change my wet gutload every 2-3 days so I take enough cubes out of freezer and defrost. I fill milk bottle tops. It's as easy as that. Just use what veg you have. It's easier to make a batch like that than preparing stuff every couple of days.:)
