I was just at the local pet store buying crickets. The clerk there said to use crushed up dog food. Is that good? He says that crickets are mainly carnivorous and that they eat meat. He says dog food is the perfect gutload. I dont believe him. Is it true what he is saying?

NO not at all. Dog food is not a good gutload for chameleons. However, dogfood is a good gutload for breeding crickets!

Check out chameleonsonly.com and look at their page "cricket food"

That's the best list in my opinion. dry and wet gutload is good!!

just use collard greens, mustard green, endive, kale, oranges, apples, ect. Thats a good base and I also use some dry calcium gutload from flukers and some baby food but the crickets main diet should be the fruits and veggies
