Cricket escape help

So the white plastic bottom bends a little on the side i was thinking about getting wire screen and then using maybe a hot glue gun to glu e it to the bottom or will the screen just stay down so the crickets cannot get out? Whats the best way and if i do the hotglue gun is glue toxic? Please any advice will help

Hot glue is the bomb for cages and small holes. Mine have lots of glue gobs - not gorgeous - but it keeps the buggers inside!

Yep. I cut out screen material just a bit larger than my PVC base plate and hot glued it to the bottom of it and it has kept my crix from escaping very well
