I've been reading a bunch of posts on here and i haven't really found a good gut-load formula. Or a post that literally shows you everything you need to know on one simple page. I'm very detailed oriented and also a visual learner so i need super simple straight to the point instructions haha. Also posting pictures of your gut-load set up would help allot!
I just watched a video on youtube and someone blended a bunch of veggies, put them in ice trays, and froze them. Storing the gut-load was really easy and saves your veggies from going bad so i really liked this idea. Not sure if you're suppose to thaw out the gut-load cube first or do you drop it in frozen? Anyone else do this?
Here's my gut-load formula:
WET BLENDED GUT-LOAD:
Yams, Apples, Carrots, Collard Greens, Red Lettuce, Mustard Greens, Oranges w/ Peel, Oat Bran, & Wheat Bran.
DRY GUT-LOAD:
Cricket Crack or -
(would i need other sources such as oat bran, wheat bran, fish food flakes, and dry cat food? Which would all be blended as well.)
WATER/HYDRATION:
Flukers Cricket Quencher (Blue/no calcium) OR Cricket Crack Water Crystals?
*Also could someone give me a plan? Such as when to feed the roaches/crickets dry/wet gut-load? Would i do wet 1st week, dry 2nd week, 3rd week wet, 4th week dry?* And also what do you guys use for food dishes? I personally cut up a waterbottle, melted the edges and sanded it down. Also seen people use giant glad wear containers that the chams jump in.
Thanks Chameleon Forums!
