Cricket cups

How high can crickets jump? I'm wondering about feeding cup depth. Especially starting out for a 3-4 m. old. but for adults too.

I am a newb also and would like to know the answer to this question. Also, what type of cup would be used? Red solo cup with smooth plastic sides? Or would a styrofoam cup work as well?

The lighter beige cricket about 6 inches, the banded cricket, about 16 inches.

I would suggest you use the search feature (top right) and you will find several DIY larger cricket/worm containers that allow the bugs to climb up the back inside part of the container, which has screen attached.

If you want to use a smaller cup, the trick is to gently shake the crickets into the feeding cup, when not disturbed they don't jump, or get them in the cup inside the cricket bin you have so you don't loose so many jumpers.

lol steal away!! Found this about a year ago and haven't turned back since, its perfect! Just be sure you put screen on the bottom to make sure you don't have any water build up in it from your misting.
