Hey guys ,

I have a blue bar ambilobe called yoshi , who has recently shed which he ate nothing at all really (due to shedding I hope ) Now hes finished shedding hes eaten one or two wax worms within the last couple of days.

There is a pot in his viv which holds waxs and meal worms, iv offerd small and med crickets nothing , he has a loving for moths of any size ! but i cant buy / find any more.

Hes in a viv which is 4.5ft high by 2ft wide and deep. All temps are fine and is drinking , but not as much as id like him to ( or as much as he used to ) . . . . Any ideas people ?

Where are you from? Check the sponsors on here. Have you tried the BBflies? Maybe they'll work. Also raise your silkies or horns to moths. I would not give any more wax worms they sound like they have spoiled him.

Welcome to the forums!

Love the name of your cham, I have a 12" Vinyl toy of Yoshi on my desk :)

Usually when chams are in "shed mode" they don't really eat. So give him a few days to get back to his normal self.

Also stay away from wax worms! I've been told by my vet that they're pointless to feed off. They can cause health issues and food strikes.

As of now, my cham only eats flying bugs aswell. Try Black Soldier Fly Larve...Usually they go by calcium worms, phoenix worms, or repti-worms. If kept at room temp they take about a month to hatch into black soldier flies. They look like a wasp, but they're 100& harmless.

Also be sure to use a variety of feeder insects. I don't want to recommend anything as of now, because I don't know anything about your cham yet, so please fill out the https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ questions, and be sure to copy/paste them into your original post(just edit then post then copy/paste). Or if that doesn't work just drop it in a new comment.
