Hey guys,
So its now about two weeks till I pick up my pair of mellers and i'm starting to get excited!! I am going to start construction of the free range area at the end of this week. So far I have all my electrics on order, have sourced a good supply of Schefflera, ficus and Pothos plants and just need to get the raw materials for my pair. I will post pics when completed but to give people an idea the 'space' for the free range will start off at around 3 feet deep, 3.5 feet wide and roughly 7 feet high. I had the idea that since the mellers are a juvenile pair the setup will grow with them and I have the option of extending the overall width to about 8.5 feet. I'm unsure as what watering system to use? Some people have said drippers and some have suggested hand misting. Neither is really a problem as I have all the bits and bobs to sort out a dripper or two and I work from home so regular mistings will not be a problem. Anyone think of anything else I need to consider??
