hello all,
i have a 16 week panther in a 100 gallon reptil enclosure. he got here tues morning. i have living and non living plants. basking area is between 85-90 or maybe just a smide in the late day. middle of cage is 76 ish and bottom is 65. he is fed gut load(endive, dandeliong green, collard green) crickets. i am going to order bugs this weekend. i haven't gotten any vitamins yet but also plan to do that this week. i have been reading up on the suggestions of what people do. my question is i seen the post where someone said that their cham had some fuz coming out of his nose. i noticed the other day a small white spot coming out of his nose,it is still there today? could it be a over abundance of vit d?
also he has been pretty dark the whole time, but seems to move around the cage some. i have seen him drink,i mist at least 3 times a day. i know that he has eaten 1 crickets since he has been here but not sure how many others.
he went down and was asleep last night about 5:30 ish, tonight it was about the same thing.
i got to wondering do you think he is on his flordia schedule? they are 2 hours ahead of me. or do they not really know that?
thanks for any advice.
oh and i should metion i have a 10.0 retic sun tube lighting.

Yeah, white stuff around the nose could mean over supplementation. They sucrete excess vitamins and calcium through their nose.

Also, it may take a while for them to adjust to the time change. I got most of mine from California, which is 2 hours behind my time, and the lights would go off and they'd be wandering around going "what the hell?". It doesn't take long before they get on the light schedule.
