I'm thinking outdoor cages. I have a Japanese maple (3.5 ft tall) and weeping cherry tree (5.5 ft). Could I put some kind of stakes in the ground and make a tent-ish thing around them so my chams can sit in them? I could use maybe mosquito netting? I know I'd have to do something to secure the bottom to the ground...idk if it would work or not, anyone ever try it?

Sounds like a good idea, I guess security is the only real concern - make sure the netting is impenetrable by chams (or stray cats ) and it should all be ok
