Could I feed my chameleon dead bugs?

Like the dead bugs you can buy from the store? Or do they have to be live? He'll just eat from my hands so the concern isn't getting him to notice it... Just is it okay for him if they have the right supplements on them?

Your cham will most likely not recognize a dead bug as food.

Even if the cham does show interest I can't believe they would be as nutritious as live insects you have gutloaded with quality food. Who knows what those dead bugs were fed and how long they've been sealed up in a can. Yuck. Supplements we dust feeders with do not provide full nutrition on their own. They are at best "gap fillers" or a bit of insurance that our chams do get all the vitamins and minerals our commercially-produced insects might lack.
