Corkboard wood background issues

I just put in a cork board wood background and of course it wasn't the right fit for my open air cage so I had to cut it to get it to fit. However, there is a crack and now the crickets are getting behind the background. Can i use hot glue to close up the crack? I know it say it is not toxic, however I am not sure if its not toxic for chameleons. If it is, does anyone know what else I could use?

I use hot glue in my cham cages all the time with no issues.

You can also use silicone cement (aquarium glue).
Just make sure it's set and dry before putting it in the cage because the
ammonia fumes.

Thanks so much for your help i was afraid to use the aquarium glue since it says it takes 24 to completely set and be smell free. And my Cham for some reason hates live plants so i cant leave him on that for a whole day. Go figure lol I just reampt his cage because he is getting bigger and he couldn't squeeze between the top of the cage and the vines. He was not having fun waiting for me started hissing HA
