hey i have a 10 gallon aquarium that i want to use for my new baby veiled. but theres only one problem, this tank was once used as a medicine tank for my saltwater fish and a copper treatment was used in it. can i still use this for my chameleon?

Copper treated tanks are only really detrimental to inverts being housed inside your saltwater tank. the issue comes to a head when the copper soaks into the silicone and over time leaches out into the water. In regards to a Chameleon make sure the aquarium is cleaned thoroughly with diluted bleach solution and rinse well. Any residual copper in the silicon will not affect your animal adversely.

That being said depending on the age of your chameleon glass enclosures are not suggested in that they can cause stress. Screen enclosures are ideal.

thanks for the advice. im just going to keep him in their for a week until my screen cage that i just ordered comes in. btw hes a baby, only 3-4 weeks old.

you should stand the tank on end so its like a ten high then the screen lid will be in front

Please don't do this as the lighting needs to be on top and UVB will not pass through glass or plastic.

that's what i was thinking. i have my adult cham in a 29 gallon aquarium and am impatiently awaiting the arrival of my reptarium. poor guy is in prison.
