what is the "thing" to do???

basking and UVB on at the same time or one coming on and going off at a different time????

thanks,, lisa

Put a low wattage basking light in one corner under a basking branch and run the UVB across the middle of the entire cage. Have all lights on and off at the same time. 12 hours on and 12 off.

I have mine set to come on/go off half an hour apart. In the morning the UV comes on first, followed by the heat lamp half an hour later. Vice versa in the evnings. This is to make it more natural and simulate what goes on with the sun, eg, in the morning the sun comes up and then it gets warmer and in the evening it gets cooler before the sunset. Hope this helps

I tried various combinations of some lights coming on first or going off before others. But now both the UVB and the Basking bulb come on at the same time, and go off at the same time. In the winter the lights are on for about 9-10 hours, in the summer 12 hours.
