Cool or Hot humidifiers?

I'm having a serious problem keeping humidity up for my Male Veiled, even with plastic covering the walls and ground the cage is on, and a ficus (granted I could use more live plants- but I killed an hibiscus and pothos already)

So, I was curious if anyone would know which is best to keep humidity consistent and wouldn't promote bacteria growth (as much) or any ideas on how to keep it up.

Very seriously considering a fogger, but not sure if its the best way and most healthy for my Melon.

Thank you for any help :)

How much did it cost you if you don't mind, been making bad buys on my Melon lately and can't afford to keep that up. Considering a DIY fogger but don't know how I'd get it on a timer.

Look for an ultrasonic room humidifier at a home improvement store. DO NOT use a vaporizer (these heat the water to boiling so they produce steam...dangerous for plants and your cham). Ultrasonics produce a room temp fog. Choose one that has a removable spout where the fog comes out (they are usually the type that lets you swivel the spout to direct the fog in one direction). Get some pvc water pipe that fits the diameter of the spout opening. You can basically create an angled pvc pipe arrangement that directs the fog into your cham's cage. Don't put the humidifier inside the cage itself as the moisture will eventually damage it. Don't glue the pvc pipe sections together because you'll need to be able to clean them out occasionally. Usually hand tight will keep it from leaking.

The humidifier can be controlled by a simple multiple setting lamp timer...just set some on-off cycles on the timer, plug it into the wall, and plug the humidifier into the timer. Easy! You'll have to play around with the timer settings to get the humidity cycles you want. The object is to create more and less humid periods throughout the day, not run it constantly. That will help control molds.

I got mine for 50 bucks... you can find them on Ebay... it works great.. I't s very warm and dry here in san diego these past two days... and with the heat lamp/uvb i have RH drops to 40-50% with the fogger on... a lot lower without it..
