It doesn't do much, or anything for your cham. For me, if I want to "trick out" or have something to brag about, it would be something that optimizes the setup that would benefit the chameleon. Anyone could spend money to put flashy lights or pump the cage full of mist or blinking lights or whatever, but any experienced keeper would see it's all for nothing, and a waste of money.

The best way to boast, is to show your chams in excellent health, and a setup that would reflect that. I'm not trying to preach, it's just my opinion.

I am not getting special lights I only thought the dimming ones looked okay. I do not want to "brag" about it either.I simply thought something extra would look nice.I do have a small fogger that does benefit my chameleon if the humidity drops and if I am on the trip I can put it on a timer so my chameleon does not dehydrate.You can have everything to benefit your chameleon but if YOU like something and does not negatively affect the chameleon I have no problem with it and I don't know why anyone would.

The fogger may be putting your cham at risk for a uri, as Mike mentioned earlier. I honestly agree with you, if someone wants to add whatever to their setup that's up to them. You started this thread asking for ideas so we are just offering some, as well as pros and cons. Don't take offense because thats not my intention.

I don't want you to think I am taking offense.I am not I am just saying my opinion on the con you said.If it is on for only 45 minutes a day I don't think that should harm it.Keeping it on all day might.Also it is a weak fogger so it won't produce much fog.My chameleon is in a bigger cage now so it is for the humidity and also looks cool as an extra pro!
