constipation/stomach aches

My chameleon is just a little over 4 months old and I ordered him crickets from Armstrong. They sent the wrong size - they sent huge fat adult crickets. Yesterday I put a couple in for him to eat and he did fine - caught them, held them in his mouth for awhile and then crunched them up and swallowed them. But now I am worried because today he did not eat and he did not poo. Will eating too big of crickets cause him to get a stomach ache or get constipated? Should he poo every day? I am calling Armstrong tomorrow to get the right size crickets but I'm just wondering if it's bad for him health wise to be eating these large crickets until the right size comes.

Also, he is a blue chameleon and changes colors like they all do - light blue, dark blue, green usually but yesterday, he turned black/gray a couple times. Is that ok? Does that mean he's sick? (I hope not :()

Welcome to the forums. What kind of chameleon do you have? A big healthy four month old veiled might be able to handle a large cricket but I tend to feed smaller feeders instead of larger. Do you have any other feeders besides crickets? If not it would be perfectly fine for him to go a day or two without food. I would recommend feeding a large variety of feeders though. I'd also keep him well hydrated and that should help him to poop. Also if it's a veiled, small slivers of fruits are good for helping them to poop. Grapes work for my guys quite well.

Thank you so much for the welcome and for responding. He's a 4 month old panther and he seems to handle the big adult crickets ok without choking but everyone says I should be giving him 1/2-2/3" or 3 week old crickets so I was just wondering if he could have health problems or get stomach aches or anything from eating them cuz it's the only size I have until I contact Armstrong tomorrow about sending me the right size.
