Confusion on temps and bulb wattages for panther

So I have a nearly year old nosy faly panther in the extra large reptibreeze. My reptile room gets pretty warm in the spring/summer (79-81 degrees) so I’m trying to cool it down. I am currently using a 100 watt heat bulb. I am confused with how much heat they need though? Would a 60 watt be ok?

depends on ambient air temps, the angle of bulb (is is a flood, narrow beam, or wide beam). Sounds like you just need a 10 degree pop from the bulb. But there is a huge difference between a 100 watt "house bulb" and a 100 watt "halogen narrow flood".

You'll have to play around with the wattages, but you want a temp of around 85*F where the top of your chameleon's back is when he's on his basking branch

And odds are the bulb can be turned off from like 10am till 3pm. None of my crew are basking when its 80 in the room, they are all laying low in the cool sections.
