Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Veiled, female, approx. 16-18 mnths. I have had her since she was a baby.
Handling - Rarely, only when necessary.
Feeding - Large crickets, large meal worms, wax worms and on rare occasions goliath worms(not recently) 3-5 crickets 4 meal 5 wax worms one goliath. I change what i give her daily never the same thing twice. i gut load with Fluker's High-Calcium Cricket Diet and use zoo-med calcium powder to coat the insects as well 3 times a week.

Watering - I have a drip on all the time. i mist every other day. Yes i see my chameleon drinking.
Fecal Description - all looks normal. Never tested for parasites
History - she has laid two clutches of eggs so far the first was infertile at about a year in age the second fertile in may.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen cage 2ft tall, 2ft wide, 18in long.
Lighting - zoo-med naturalistic terrarium hood, zoo-med repti-sun 5.0 uvb tropical and a standard light bulb. the lights come on around 7 am and go off around 8 pm
Temperature - not sure of the basking spot temp or the bottom temp, but the middle temp is between 70-80 daytime and never less than 65 at night. zilla temp and humid combo
Humidity - Humidity is kind of sketchy right now because of the air conditioning but i have live plants and i mist more often.
Plants - yes ficus benjamina
Placement - in my sons room on his dresser. my son spends little time in his room and the time he is in there is either video games or cartoons. The cage was about 4 ft from the a/c until about three days ago i moved the a/c further away now about 17 ft away.
Location - Pennsylvania.

Current Problem - About three days ago now I noticed that my female veiled was on the bottom of her cage next to the plant. I thought nothing of it and figured she was just chasing crickets. The next day I noticed she was still there on the bottom so I thought maybe she was gravid. So I picked her up and put her in her bucket in her cage. She has been sitting in the bucket ever since. She is drinking from an eye dropper, but still has not ate anything. I offered her a meal worm and she tried to grab it but it fell. After I picked it back up she did not want it. Also she has this black mark on her which i do not remember seeing before. She is my first cham ever which should be a topic up further How much experience do you have with chams? And what kinds?
The images should be the black mark, her in the bucket after I offered her food, and lastly a video of her attempting to get out of the bucket after I initially put her in. She did not succeed and just lowered herself back in. There are also picks of her in my gallery from before.

Looks like a skin issue.
possibly a slight burn... but if looks like there is some tear.
that last thing you want a bacteria in there.

make sure your dripping and misting water is conditioned. Repti Safe
Tropical Mist has Aloe and minerals that are good for reptile skin.

its probable thats she not moving much because its irritating or
causing some pain or discomfort.

I know they sell more concentrated skin cream/ointment
specifically made to treat skin issues. look into that.

Alright. I'm gonna start by saying u need a vet.
I'm not sure wat supplement ur using to dust. Or at least the specifics of it but u need 3 calcium with NO D3 daily and calcium WITH D3 2 times a month and a multivit 2 times a month as a basic idea.
Quit feeding wax worms.. they should be a rare treat same with meal worms. Fatty hard to digest.
Dripper all day is good but they still need to be misted 2-4 times daily for 2-3 minutes! Keeps there humidity up.
Get some temp and humidity meausuring devices and a larger cage is in need.
Also get rid of the FLUKERS cricket food its garbage. Fresh fruits and veggies.

Her skin is fine. There's swelling along her spine which is why the number one thing u need to do is get yet to a vet asap! That doesn't look like a burn. A burn would show the spikes being severed. And the skin to turn bland colors.
Please gain some experience before giving advice.

Not sure what you think about it, but her eyes look sunken also. To me at least. Her side of the spine really looks messed up like she could have fallen and hurt it, and you did say she has been limited on where she has been in here cage so like the previous member said it may be causing her a great deal of pain. But I would schedule a vet visit asap because that side of the spine is something to be concerned with.

Wax worms should be fed as a treat only. They are full of fat. As a rule most veiled owners lightly dust plain calcium most feeds and calcium with d3 and a multivits twice a month. There are variations to this depending on feeders, lights and whether she gets outside.

Watering - I have a drip on all the time. i mist every other day. Yes i see my chameleon drinking. She needs to be sprayed at least 3-4 times daily till viv is dripping.
Fecal Description - all looks normal. Never tested for parasites
History - she has laid two clutches of eggs so far the first was infertile at about a year in age the second fertile in may.
Cage Info:
Cage Type - Screen cage 2ft tall, 2ft wide, 18in long. Cage is far to small. Needs to be 4 ft tall.
Lighting - zoo-med naturalistic terrarium hood, zoo-med repti-sun 5.0 uvb tropical and a standard light bulb. the lights come on around 7 am and go off around 8 pm
Temperature - not sure of the basking spot temp or the bottom temp, but the middle temp is between 70-80 daytime and never less than 65 at night. zilla temp and humid combo temps and humidity is very important and needs to be measured. If its 80 in the middle I think it will be way too high at the top.

By looking at the pics she looks dehydrated IMO. Hope this helps.

Sorry. Hoped my comments would be in a different colour to make it easier to read.

Sorry but I have to agree that you need to take your little girl in to the vet.

Not only does it look like there is abnormal swelling all along the spine, she has something going on with her lip too.

I hope things come out well for the two of you.

she looks pretty round to me and could have eggs. In any event, with every thing else the others have mentioned, she needs to see a vet.

Good eye I didn't really notice her lip until you pointed it out.

I also hope things go well for you, hopefully the spine issue isn't that severe and she can bounce back, but I would limit handling her if at all. Just leave her in the bucket and maybe even put some foliage so that she has some shade and put the lights hanging over. Just my thought

Thank you

Thanks to all who commented I have scheduled an appointment for Saturday. I think that she might have fallen and thats why she was on the bottom. I moved her to a smaller container were I can move the lights so that she can get warm but also get shade.

The most important thing is to keep her hydrated. They can do fine for a couple of weeks without food if they so choose but don't do well without water intake. Make sure you give her all the water she will drink. And offer food too, just don't worry if she doesn't eat much.

If she isn't trying to move around much, she won't be able to get away from the light. You need to make sure that she doesn't get too warm. Put a thermometer right there close and keep an eye on it.

And, keep her clean. When my Twister was sick and in his hospital bin, he absolutely hated it if he pooped and I didn't clean it up right away. I would find him as far from the mess as he could get and would get all dark and cranky if he had some on him!

Hope she does okay until her appt.! I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. :)

I'm still new and learning, but I wish u and your little one all the best and sending good thoughts your way!!:)
