I recently purchased a baby male Cham online, he arrived on Tuesday and has now been with me for 4 days. He seems perfectly fine very active eating and drinking. The only thing I'm concerned about and don't even know if I should be is his color. He was a very bright llime green color when he arrived and now he's a brownish green for most of the day. Sometimes if I leave for an hour and don't watch him his light color will return. I'm new here and new to having a chameleon as a pet so just would like some insight, haha. I'm not sure what's in the norm and what's not. Thank you for your help and tips.

Please try to fill out the "https://www.chameleonforums.com/how-ask-help-66/ " template, I would suggest that and temps a bit too high, still getting used to his new enclosure....

It's common for a chameleon to turn a darker color while basking under his heat bulb. It will absorb more heat. He could also still be adjusting to his new home and new owner. I would suggest filling out the questions and post some pictures of your chameleon and cage set up. A lot of people on this forum have a lot of expiernce with all chameleon species and they can provide great advice. Best of luck with your new Cham
