I'm looking at getting the plant for the chameleon, but I'm not sure if this one is poisonous or not. I'm new to West Virginia and I really don't know what kind of plants they have that ate good for chameleons.
Ilex crenata, or (Japaense Holly) like other holly's, has little fruits on it.
I know in other species of holly, these fruits are toxic. If the chameleon, or feeder insects eat them, it could result in a severely negative effect. So its best to stay away from holly in general.
Try a japanese maple. They are awesome little trees, and the leaves can be used in your gutload, or be eaten by the animal directly.
