Compact Flourescent Bulb-just curious

Hi there.
I used the compacts (2.0 and 5.0) from exoterra 6 months and no problems to my cham.

Now i´m using a tube reptisun 5.0.

i just wanted to add ive been using the repti-sun by zoo med and have never had a problem.

How are you using the lamp? can you post some pics?


I personaly have had a fetal run in with CFLs and will never use them unless I HAVE to. They can be used...... but shouldn't! Read through the UV Guide website, there is a TON of info on there. Quality of light is very important to reptiles since they rely on it so much.

Are normal CFLs from like walmart alright to use in addition to a tube UV light to help with plant growth?

yes but know they only add light not good for heat or uvb
