Commercial filters for purified water?

Would a regular water-filter bottle purify water well enough for use in a fogger or do I need to buy water that's already mineral-free? Thanks!

I only use distilled in mine to prevent build up and bacterial growth. Only reverse osmosis filtration removes much of the minerals. I personally wouldn't use gravity fed filtered water but my area has very hard water.

I use the Hinkley and Shimmit refillable jug that I refill at Walmart. I had a gauge that measures particles in the water and the refills have less particles then the bottled water.
