Color

My male chameleon (veiled) is approx 5 months old. Lil guy is brown all day then pretty green and yellow while he sleeps. He eats and drinks well. Basks at 85 degrees. Just curious. He seems fine. A little cranky. Oh I moved him to a 18x18x36 screen cage about 4 days ago.

if he is lighter when he sleeps (when the temps are lower) than try lowering the temps just a little bit to about 80-82. are there any situations that could be stressing him out during the day?

They all show the best colors when they sleep. I wish mine looked like his sleeping colors all the time!!!

if you just got him or just moved him to a new cage he might not yet be comfortable in his new home...give him a week or 2 and see if he doesnt brighten up some.

I came home from work and found him shedding. That explains alot. Thanks for all your replies.
