I have a young pair of veiled chameleons that I have had for a little over a month now. They both eat like crazy and drink really good to! My question is the male is never really green he is usually like a light brown or like a brown camo type pattern, the female is almost always bright green. Is this normal or is there something I need to do? I figure if she is nice and green then the temp. and everything is probably ok.... Thanks abunch!

Uh they are a few months old I think.... And yes they are kept together. They both eat like pigs and drink well just curious. He doesnt ever look mad or anything. Thanks!

I would separate them. Babies can be housed together but once you hit that couple of months range it is time for individual cages.

In response to the brown color, i have seen some small veiled that are just brown. Someone posted some pics a while back of a bunch of babies they had hatch and i remember one being brown and the rest green.

I have no idea what the signifies, but id thought i would share that

Thanks!
