I have been feeding mostly 1/2" banded crickets. I did take into account that I might be feeding too little, so I have increased the amount of crickets per feeding this month. I will also give him your recommended dosage of sups. He is my first chameleon, so I found supplementation quite daunting. I will also see about getting my hands on a dripper.

You can make a dripper real easy. Get a 16oz. Solo cup and poke a hole at the bottom with a needle, Fill with water and put on top of the cage.You want a slow nice drip about every 30 seconds Make sure to put something at the bottom to catch the water. A plant works well also to catch the water. Change your cup every other day with a new one.

I made my water dripper with a mayonnaise jar , I attached some tubing from the air things for aquariums on bottom side of the jar and attached a air flow tip (also located in the aquarium aisle at pet stores) to the end and I can control how fast or slow I want it to drip

Hmmm, that might be worth a shot too. I have tried making my own dripper before, but it didn't work out so great. (I tried just the small hole at the bottom of a cup) I think being able to control the flow would be helpful.

Heres a picture of mine. Yes it is not the most prettiest but i was only aiming for it to function as a dripper. Im sure it can be modified to look prettier. It works for me and is fairly easy to do, the air flow tips cost me $5 at the petstore and i got them in a pack so there alot of them if you want to make multiple. the tubing i already had from previous aquariums but im sure you can get a nice amount of tubing for a good price or if you want to hang it in the enclosure just make holes on the top and put some string or wire and attach the tubing to the bottom and boom you have a hanging dripper

Ok, good to know. Did you just hot glue it into place? I think It would be nice to have a tube running through the back of the cage so that it can drip on a wall of leaves. Would that be possible with the right kind of tubing??

i was thinking about doing that myself with the tubing running around the cage so it can drip multiple places. Im sure you could find some control tips that have 2 openings at a hardware store i dont really think you could find them at pet stores though. The only problem with my design is that there one opening and you cant attach another line to the existing tube , youd have to make another hole to connect it but maybe if you use the tube itself , seal the end and make small holes in it to drip then it could work as long as you have a container that can support as much water as you need .

Ahh! Ok, thanks for the idea. If I am going to make my own dripper, I want to make sure is will have more function then just dripping one drop in the same place.

I don't know if anyone mentioned it, @LittleVeiledExplorer, but sub adult male veileds do tend to go a really mucky color. Some stay that mucky color, others will be a nice color when they are mature.

Ohhh, ok. Maybe that is what is happening. Do they have the ability to be green if they want?? Because he definitely can turn a nice green color. He just is rather grey inside of his cage.

Green is often misinterpreted as a "happy" color. It can be a sign of stress. I didn't see a picture of your chameleon, so I haven't a clue what is really going on.

I would say that my little Fernando is a little less than 1/2 the size of Barnaby. His colors are much lighter but also kinda dull. The only pictures that I have of him on my hand are of him as a baby, so I don't have any good size visuals.

He is darker some days more than others. I like @jajeanpierre name for it "mucky color". Mucky color is definitely his most recent color, he used to be much lighter. Though I would have to say blackish color is more of a stress color. Barnaby is dark but not really black. Hopefully I am not more confusing
