Chameleon Info:my chameleon is approximately 4.5 months old according to petsmart at least. She is a female veiled. I have had her 2.5 weeks. She is handled about once a day. Completely on her own accord.
she eats either 15 to 20 medium crickets or 10 large crickets. They are gutted with mostly kale right now. Have also used apples and carrots all organic. She also likes to eat kale. I hand feed some crickets and let a few loose in her cage for hunting. She gets her lights uvb and uva lights turned on at about 6:30 am. After 1/2 an hour she gets fed about 5 to 10 crickets depending on size. Then about 5 a few hours later. Hand feed kale after I get home.i dust crickets with calcium every day d3 2x a month and multivitamin 1 a month. She gets about 4 misting a day at least 2 minutes a session. The temps in her cage are about 82 basking and between 75 and 80 lower in the cage. Humidity is usually around 30%. It is harder to keep that up since I switched to mesh cage. She has real plants and 1 fake plant. She has rocks covering the dirt for the plants. No substrate. She poos usually 1x a day brown to black in color firm consistency. Urates are white. She drinks from branches and leaves.never tested for parasitescant remember all dimensions of cage but it is 30 inches tall. Lights go out at about 6:30 pm. Night temps about 70. We have a digital temp/humidity gage near basking spot in cage. I do want to get one that you can point and measure all over cage. My cage is in the living room in the corner. No fans and we closed the vent in living room for heat and air so it wouldnt blow on her. It is somewhat of a high traffic area on occassion but she doesnt seem upset by it as far as i can tell. We live in savannah geaorgia.
i am just concerned because she just finished shedding about a day ago and her color is brown mostly now. When shes wandering around it is more olive green and when hunting bright green to almost yellow. Just worried about the brown lol. I will attempt to take and upload pictures. I am bad at these thing and the last time i tried to take her pic she swelled up put her front feet by her face and started rocking. This is the only time she got like that. Really dont want to freak her out like that again lol.
