cold temps

has anyone elses chams been going into "hibernation" mode. My panther usually eats like a madman and since this cold shock in FL hes just been sluggish maybe eating 3 insects a day, same with my veild, anyone else have this happening.

My panther has barely been moving the last 2 days. He's been indoors and I don't really have a proper indoor setup. I haven't even offered him food in a few days because I don't wanna give him an upset tummy with all the cold (he's over a year old). Today I felt like it was just warm enough for him to go out (and he could use the UV) and he was instantly himself again.

ok that makes me feel better....you cant help but feel a little bit worried...hopefully Florida will start to feel like Florida soon ;) :p

All mine have been doing the same thing. They do perk up though when the food comes, but haven't been eating as much. They are spending a lot of time under the basking lamp.

It's cold in Florida? Wow, I've been thrilled that today and yesterday it was in the 40s here in Minnesota! I finally got to put my car through a car wash without fear of the doors freezing shut!

As far as the cold goes, we're experts at heating our houses, my little girl is happy and fat as ever!

I am so glad that it finally rain in SoCal.
We have a bit insane weather in early january to February.
It's hot and super dry.
and to answer your Qs, no... they haven't cut down their food intake.
But, last winter they did.

my cham all wanted to go outside.. but, since it's raining, i didn't let them.
maybe tomorrow...
they all knew (except for my weirdo ambanja) whenever I put my hand in their cage, it means food, sunshine, and fresh air.
