Cockroaches...

Shellfish are in the roach family. Lol.

Well sorta: Something about their exoskeleton contains the same protein in shellfish that causes allergic reactions.
So... specifically crustaceans—not necessarily mollusks.

There are two groups of shellfish: crustaceans (such as shrimp, crab and lobster) and mollusks (such as clams, mussels, oysters, scallops and octopus). Allergy to crustaceans is more common than allergy to mollusks, with shrimp being the most common shellfish allergen for both children and adults.

Found this conversation about it, although not much came from it i see https://www.roachforum.com/topic/6983-neurotoxin-in-feeder-cockroaches/

I don't like saying "cockroach" because I know some species can contain different defensive chemicals. I would be shocked if this neurotoxin is in all cockroaches. Probably about one/a few species that they grouped into all cockroaches, as people tend to do with everything when discussing cockroaches lol.
