Coccidia

Tribrissen is a combination of trimethoprim and sulfadiazine and it has worked well on any of my chameleons. Coccidia needs a sulfa drug to get rid of it...and tribrissen contains one. It was always in liquid form.

The previously mentioned options kill off coccidia as well...

I wasn't disputing it. Crruxxy was given tribrissen so I was just explaining about it and my experience with it.

I know, but I don't believe ponazuril or Baycox are Sulfa drugs. soo... I was just saying they work...

From what I understand, sulfa drugs stop the reproduction and allow the immune system to deal with the coccidia while ponazuril or Baycox kill the coccidia.

My tribrissen is defiantly powder. I may call my vet and ask if I can do that cami, that way would be much easier to control. I never thought of that.
