the other one doesnt have the red to maroon spot on his side sprry its blurry iphone camera
Hi Robby,
That guy definitely needs something for the pain He's going to need that poor tail amputated and antibiotics, so maybe they will give him to you cheaper or free, so they won't have to pay the vet bill. If they have a heart, that is. Sad to see. BTW, that is not a nipped tail, that is an open festering wound.
hi tylene, they wont take it to the vet it looked worse ive used that cream on it when i go and visit him its helped as vet visit is out of the question to them it seems i really wasnt lookin for one of these but have grown attached to him. so kinda lost as what to do..
They are really cool chams! Definitely worth having, but nursing a sick, injured WC will have it's challenges. That bone needs snipped off (under anesthesia) and maybe it would heal up fine with a course of antibiotics, but the longer they wait, the worse it will get.
Hey Rob. No worries. As Tylene pointed out WCs have their challenges and with the tail comes even more. Its such a shame to see that poor guy in that shape. He has one hell of a set of horns! Besides the tail he looks a bit dehydrated and malnourished, which can be easily turned around if you know that he is eating and drinking at all. If you do know he is eating well and he has been there for a while its probably the combination of the transportation, pet store diet and or parasites. I am sure you could provide him with a healthier diet. If you are asking me if I would buy him the answer would be no. That guy needs a lot of time and work put in to him. If you are asking if he is "savable" I believe so. I know its sad to have to see him like that every time you go in to the pet store but its really up to if you have the means and time to take him on.
Thanks for the compliments guys. He doesnt seem to mind the camera as much if he has some food in his mouth
