Closed eyes while basking?

hey so ive read its not a good sign when your cham closes his eyes in the day.. today i caught him basking and his eyes were closed.. it looked like he was just relaxing or something, but i heard its a bad sign.. he's doing fine otherwise.. eats, drinks, very active... what do you guys think?

I catch my cham with his eyes closed everyone once in a while when hes basking. I don't think it's to much of a big deal. I haven't noticed any issues with him.

I second that. My guy will close at least one eye from time to time, and he is fine. As long as you don't notice him sleeping through the day (not just in his basking spot) and all else seems right, should be fine.

thanks guys... i was getting a little worried there.. especially since i dont know if im feeding him enough.. and another thing is.. hes about 14 weeks now but he looks kind of small to me. ? i see pics on here of chams with full color or almost full color around this age.. hes barely getting his blues and greens on his face.. and his tummy is sometimes red..

What type of cham is he? If he is a panther, his coloration wont be complete until around 12-18 months old. Be patient His colors will come when he's ready.

thanks Squeeks.. im not doubting the set up though.. i just was wondering if maybe i dont feed him enough and his growth is not as much.. along with colors i guess.. which now that i say it out loud i dont know if it even makes sense.. lol. yes he is a Panther so i guess that means WAIT.. thanks. but hes like already 4 months old and barely his cheeks and forehead are greenish.. sometimes his tummy is a little red.. but thats it.. ill just wait though. maybe hes just taking his time.
