Climbing top screen

I just got my veiled a week ago today, hes just a baby (3 months I believe) and twice now Ive come home to see him clinging to the top screen right under the uvb light (Arcadia 6%).

Im a little worried about that, as I think he might have made his way up there and cant figure out a way down. He was doing this weird thing where he was hesitating to move forward and kept moving back and forth, and then let go of one leg and was kinda doing pullups in a way. It was really weird.

Anyway, I dont know how hes getting up there as I dont have any branches or vines within 6 inches from the top, so hes some kind of acrobatic ninja or something.

Should I maybe add a vine up to the top so if he does make his way up there, which he seems to be doing regardless, that at least he has a way down?

It is ok and it is not harmful as long as it is the uvb and not the basking light which could burn him. A lot of the babies will do that for whatever reason. Do you have a screen cage? If so, he is climbing up the sides and then continuing on to the top upside down.

My little guy is about the same age and doing the same thing. He hasn't gone upside down but he hangs out in the vines right below the uv bulb. It doesn't get hot at all so I'm sure he's fine but as long as it's normal I wouldn't worry too much

Well I took him down just now cause I was worried and he went right back up there, so he must like it :).

do you have enough vines and branches for him to climb on??? Can you post q picture of your set up?
