Cleaning up

So today I'm going to tackle the job of cleaning the cham cage really good. The only problem I have is that Donnie does not like to be handled. I've had him for over a month now and I attempt to handle him every couple days, but he just runs to the bottom of the cage and hides. Does anybody have any tips on how to remove him?

or a glove. i have a nice thick garden glove for my veiled or he will tear skin if i even just put anything in there to try to take him out.

Why do you need to remove the cham from the enclosure? Can't you just leave him in there, remove the plant and clean up the bottom without having to try and remove him? I never really take mine out when I am cleaning, as it's faster to just pick up the poo and leaves on the bottom while the cham is chilling on the screen. Just my 2 cents.
