Cicadas and Japanese beetles?

I've been finding more and more cicadas and tons of Japanese beetles around my house. Can I feed those to my chameleon?

He'll have to grow a bit before he can fit a cicada in his mouth, but when the time eventually comes I don't want him get indigestion or something.

It seems like such a shame to not grab a few beetles, but again, will the abundance of exoskeleton or possible toxins hurt Sebastian's stomach?

Thanks!

The problem with the beetles is they are hard as rocks. The other problem is they are "pests" so you have to wonder if they have any pesticides on/in them. Bare min id catch them and keep them a week or more to see if they are infected/poisoned.
