Yea I was thinking about buying it but I was wondering if anyone on here knows if its a reliable product thank you.

It adds a lot of unnecessary calcium into the water and can throw off supplementation.

How long have you been using it to know that?

WHich one zoo med or fluckers fluckers just says it takes out chlorine but has no description of adding minerals or vitamins other than aloe and vitamin E to help the reptile shed so what you think about Flukers syn you know or tried it? I guess zoomed one is to much calcium.

I quoted chameleonfan101 who had stated they used Zoo Med. It adds electrolytes into the water and then it says (including calcium).
if u set your water out for 24 hours open (in a clean area) the clorine will disapate from the water naturally.
Yes, but there are some hard minerals that will not evaporate overnight, thought I can't remember what.

OK I didn't know that Thank you What about bacteria does that matter to chameleons? I mean bacteria is all over us and most aren't dangerous to us can the same be said about chameleons? I'm sorry if I seem obsessive and like a worry wart its just I don't like my pets dying.

I don't know what the water is like where you live, but generally speaking there are all of these minerals in the tap water to prevent the bacteria? At least that's what I've been told.

Ah OK I to I'll just come out and say it I don't know squat about water lol. Anyways well him OK maybe ill just buy drinking water it has to be distilled correct? What is a name brand of distilled water because like I stated before I don't know crap about water and don't want to study any more about chameleons my eyes are dying from reading Ive been like chameleon on my mind 24/7 these past 2 months. My mind is use to mundane life style of drinking clean water is just clean water etc but lizards and pets is so precise and need to be done perfectly.

Distiller water is bad....why? Because it has literly nothing in it....no minerals or anything....it's completely pointless and not recommended....you can check your local area water supply....usually tap doesn't have high enough Chlorine to effect that hard....and if so you can let it sit out......it's not like people add reptisafe to all there mist bottles....that would be outrageous for the amount of times we spray for these guys....I suggest tap water....with the reptisafe....or tap watt that's not high in chlorine....if you can put it in your eyeball without it being painful.... and you know it's safe city water....(not sistern or then I see no issue using it straight up

First, you need to find out what's in your local water. If it's chlorine, then yes, putting it out for 24 hours (make sure there's a lot of surface area and/or give it an occasional stir) will dissipate the chlorine. However, not all areas use chlorine and that technique won't work. You can use filtered water (like a BRITA system). That will not, however, remove fluoride.

The best compromise between "safety" and "inexpensive" is probably to get some big (8, 10 gallon) containers and buy water in bulk or if you go through enough water, install a reverse osmosis system to remove the bad stuff from your water yourself.
