Childs Ghost caught on shopping mall cam

Story about an alledged ghost of a small child that was caught on the cctv cam in a shopping mall In Chile STH America. Includes 36sec video.
What are your thoughts?

well at first I was sure it was a shadow of some sort....BUT then it moved across the path.......I dunno that is pretty eery! Where do u find all this crazy stuff at??

Do you think its real?:rolleyes:
 
Well, I don't see a child ghost. To me it appears that the shopping mall has skylights, as many do. And there was a crow or some other bird, or a cat, or something, walking across the skylight, casting a shadow across the floor. Just a thought.
 
gesang I think you are right. The movement of the shadow is almost the same as a bird walking around.. or even a chameleon!!!
 
A smudge wouldnt move. If its a birds shadow through a skylight, why dosent it climb the wall on the other side? It stays at floor level and remains the same (intensity) inside the doorway. The lighting quality doset change as it hits people walking by as it would if there were a skylight. Notice the angle of peoples shadows as they walk by, it stretches to the left, but the 'ghost' dosent.
Its a mystery. I think its 'real' aka not hoaxed since its cctv footage. No idea what it is though. The story gives you a pre-conceived idea before you watch the footage, so its difficult to be unbiased. It tells you its a childs ghost, so thats what alot of folk will beleive anyway. I reserve judgement. :)
 
It is a bug on the globe of the camera. If it were on the lence it would be solid black, but at the distance of a globe, it would appear faint and a little double since the cameras have a fixed focus.

I have seen footage like it before ;)

This is a perfectly logical solution to what caused this. The only thing that makes me doubt the bug theory is if you notice at the end of the video it leaves out what looks like an exit or entrance (maybe a bathroom). If it was a bug, when it left the screen of the camera you would have seen it go all the way to the side of the lens before disappearing. This isn't the case. It's exit is top left middle.
 
If its a bug on a bulb, why dosent the focus/appearance change as it transverses a convex surface as you suggest, toward the center its further away than on the two sides.

assuming your referring to something like this

possibly its a reflection in a shop window, reflected onto the camera casing of sombody walking around
unseen by the camera directly? maybe a child.
 
On a fixed focus cctv camera, especially the color ones, you cant really see the focus difference as it gets further or closer, unless it is on the lense.

As for leaving out the exit the, it looked like a cricket to me, touched the darker grey area that was about the same shade and brightness and blended in.
 
Who is the child? Did they get DNA samples from the ghost to prove it is that child?

Jo!!!!!!! With the intellegence I see you have from answering others posts (not being sarcastic here) I wouldnt think you would believe in ghosts:confused:

Personally, I would believe Nessy over a ghost.
 
Who said I beleived it a ghost? I said I didnt know what it was and therefore reserve judgement. I think its a matter of a reflected reflection of a playing child, bounced off a shop window on this side (bottom screen) onto a window top left and back onto the camera housing.

Anyway, whats does perceived intellect have to do with beleif? Some very smart people beleive in God. :D

As much as I would like to comment on the last sentence of your last post I will refrain. I will say that I agree, intellect has nothing to do with believing in god however I do think it applies to ghosts.

'real' meaning, not deliberately hoaxed, given we have no background on the story.
for all we know it was simply noticed and assumed to be a ghost by the person responsible for reveiwing footage, who called his mates, who called the media etc...
you know how it goes. :)

I will say that I agree, intellect has nothing to do with believing in god however I do think it applies to ghosts.

LOL Amy, that must be the guy! :D These things give people something to think about, its alot of fun, I have an open mind, but dont read too much into that :)
