Fruits, veggies, seeds and such are the best gutloads. SSimsswiSS Avid Member Apr 9, 2010 #3 I keep quail, and I can't find any chick food that is'nt medicated or laced with hormones for birds. Just say no, to the (high calcium) lay mash. Too much artificial stuff going on in this feed.
