chemeleo werneri tongue problem please help

I got a pr. of wc. Werneri and when the female came in she wouldn't open her mouth to eat or drink but rubbed her head against water droplets and just seemed to lift the gums to suck the water in. She also wouldn't eat so I had to hold her head pull on the skin under her neck to look in her mouth and noticed the tip of the tongue was pure white and the rest was normal colour tip white 2 mm back and full circle of tongue. Does anyone know what this could be and how to treat it? My wholesaler said he would reimburse me the money for her as it wasn't anything I did but I would much rather try and save her.

Thanks for your help. I will try hydrogen peroxide with a needle on the tip of the tongue if it bacterial or fungal it will oxidize the bacteria or fungus.

I wouldn't use the peroxide until you know for sure there is something wrong with the tongue. Can you post a photo please?

It sounds to me like she has burned her tongue. Its pretty common for crickets to gather under basking lights. If the basking light is directly on the screen and she shot at a cricket its possible she burned the tip.

That I don't know I got her that way from the importer and she passed several days later. She wouldn't even open her mouth to drink she kind of drank from the side of her mouth with her mouth closed just kind of had her skin up to suck the water in through the side. Sad to have lost her and refund doesn't bring her back but I do have a second female that is doing very well.

Ron so sorry to hear that she passed away. Sounds like she never had a chance. I am glad the sellerr stood by as far as a refund, but like you said, does not make it any easier.
