Interesting idea. Do you just use these for the egg-laying? Is that what you mean by using them for breeding? What are the options for light fittings and drippers/misters? How do you access the main area of the enclosure and the lower portion? Is there integrated drainage or a substrate container you can remove once the eggs have been laid?

is that chicken wire / hardware cloth that you are using for the "screen" ? or is it something else, safe for their feet?

what are the dimentions? I am also wondering what types of chameleons you use these for? and are these just for breeding or all the time? they look cool.

What do you about the basking light to create a thermal gradient? If there's only room for one light hood I assume that it's the UVB? And what do you do to prevent thermal burns with the light hood inside the cage where the cham could very easily crawl on it?

Wow! Didn't expect all the responses. Lots of great questions. We are using them for veileds, carpets, panthers, and and a few others. We use them mostly for egg laying as it is very easy to disassemble and fits snug so that we don't have to worry about enclosures shifting. We are using compact uv. Two lights will fit underneath but we prefer regulating room temperatures. You can also clamp the heat lamp outside of the enclosure on the lip of the top. All the cut edges are dull so we don't get anyone stuck. We cup feed which makes it really easy.
