Looking very good! I would raise the cage off of the floor-a piece of plywood on top of a $15-$20 stool from Target works great-or really any table, mine is on a large plastic tote. They like to be higher up to feel secure-and it gives you easier viewing. My only other suggestion would be to get a tube style flourescent light as some people are not having good luck with the compacts, as I am assuming that is what you have.

Howdy David,

I like what was mentioned about raising the overall height of the enclosure. See if you can raise it to where your critter's basking spot is above your head. Many chameleons feel more secure when able to take the high ground.

What make, model and age UVB light are you using?

Nice looking cham I would suggest the tube lighting too. I threw away all my compact UVA/UVB lights earlier this year. They looked cool, so I tried several brands on my cham cages. They did not last, many fell apart, and they have UVB "hot spots". I had one fail and it gave a cham a "sunburn". After that, I went back to the tried and true ZooMed flourescents. I have used them for over a decade on my big lizards (iguanas, sailfins, tree monitors and Gould's monitors) with great sucess. Iguanas are another MBD prone lizard and my iguanas have thrived with the ZooMed flourescents. The compact bulbs don't come close in safety and performance. OK....I'll get off my soap box..........

hey guys thanks for all the comments and suggestions..
im using a trex uv heat bulb 100 watt flood.
wow really i need to change it? a lot of shops told me to use it bc it works just as good but i kno u guys have muchhhhhhhh more experience i guess its time for a change thankss everyone

couple things u need is a uva uvb tube light around 30$ i also have reptile carpet on bottom of mine i dont think this is necessary and u need one side of cage to be around 85 90 and other side 10 degrees less than the basking side
