Changing my panther chameleons cage setup

It is pretty cluttered in my chameleon's cage. One of the plants is dying and I think should be taken out. I was wondering if I could rearrange his cage setup. I think it would be nice if I had more branches for him to climb on. I am not sure if this will stress him out. I have had him for over a month and he is about 5 months old now. I'm not planning on doing anything too big, just maybe some arrangements and taking out the dead plant.

It will definitely stress him out. That's a given. I'm sure he will be fine though, I drastically changed my chams cage two or three times already and I've had him a couple months, granted I gave him some time to settle in and I know this is still not advised but all in all I'm sure he will be fine.

I rearrange my chams cage every few months. After I clean their cage I switch up the branches and move some of his vines around. I dont think it will cause a whole lot of stress. If you think about the "wild", they move all over and encounter new terrain on a daily basis. as long as you have the necessary amenities for you cham (Basking, humidity, and space/cover) I believe they like the change of layout. :D

Thank you. I think I am going to try.

Thanks. But where would I put him? I have never held him other then me helping up to climb on branches. If I am rearranging things would he have to stay in a different area? Possibly a potted plant outside in my room? If only I could get him on it.

I use a wooden flat paint mixer stick and slide it underneath mine and get him to grab on, then I pull him out with the stick. He doesn't always go on the stick so it can be tricky at times. Just put him in a temporary enclosure or a large potted plant, real or fake. Make sure you try to do things relatively quickly though
