Changing light timing

Currently, I have my lights set to go on from 0800 to 2000. With it getting dark around 1730, the Captain is retiring much earlier. Do any of you change your light cycles to match more closely to the earlier sunsets? If he is starting to hunker down at around 1630 for bed, it seems a bit pointless to keep them going for an extra 3.5 hours or so.

I've changed mine to match more when the sun sets. I only bumped it up an hour though so far.

I use mine as an alarm clock, but i still keep the 12 hour cycle. So daylight savings at least adjusts his wakeup time.
